1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RatedStylists UK Ltd ("RatedStylists", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the RatedStylists platform at app.ratedstylists.co.uk, including any related services, features, content, and applications (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to use our Platform:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• You are not prohibited from using the Platform under UK law
• You will provide accurate and complete registration information
• You will maintain the security of your account credentials

RatedStylists provides tools to:

• Create and manage salon profiles
• List services, pricing, and availability
• Receive and manage bookings
• Process payments through integrated systems
• Access business analytics and insights

4.3 Platform Role

Important: RatedStylists is a marketplace platform connecting clients with salons. We are not a party to the service contracts between clients and salons. Salons are independent businesses responsible for delivering services.

5. Bookings and Payments

5.1 Booking Terms

• Bookings are subject to salon availability and confirmation
• You agree to arrive on time for appointments
• Cancellation policies are set by individual salons
• Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees

5.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through our payment partner (Stripe)
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for bookings
• Prices are set by salons and displayed at time of booking
• All prices include VAT where applicable
• Refunds are subject to the salon's cancellation policy

5.3 Service Fees

RatedStylists may charge service fees for platform usage. These fees will be clearly displayed before you complete a booking.

7.1 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, photos, messages). By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating the Platform.

7.2 Platform Content

The Platform, including its design, features, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by RatedStylists and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

7.3 Trademarks

"RatedStylists", the RatedStylists logo, and other marks are trademarks of RatedStylists UK Ltd. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with UK GDPR.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Platform "As Is"

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.

9.2 Third-Party Services

Salons are independent third parties. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by salons listed on our Platform.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RatedStylists shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Services provided by salons or professionals on the Platform
• User content or conduct of other users

Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to RatedStylists in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RatedStylists, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content or conduct on the Platform

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@ratedstylists.co.uk

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Protecting the Platform or other users

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We may delete your account data subject to our data retention policies.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12.2 Jurisdiction

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor.
